Clinical

SafeSed reduces the incidence of respiratory compromise by continuously monitoring patients.

Two sensors attached to a patient provide close monitoring of all vital breathing information remotely, allowing for immediate intervention, enabling implementation in multiple clinical settings.

Data

Clinical Validation

  • Feasibility study on colonoscopy patients

A comparative clinical study, for investigating the use of the SafeSed system for monitoring respiratory parameters during sedation in patients undergoing elective gastrointestinal endoscopy. SafeSed was compared off-line with the data from a capnograph and a pulse-oximeter (the standard-of-practice devices for respiratory monitoring), which were also monitoring the same procedure.

Meir Medical Center

  • Validation study on surgical patients

A prospective single center clinical study, for investigating the accuracy of the SafeSed system for measuring minute ventilation, tidal volume and respiratory rate in patients undergoing general anesthesia. These parameters were compared to the actual minute ventilation, tidal volume and respiratory rate as recorded by the anesthesia machine.

Meir Medical Center

  • Validation study on healthy volunteers

A prospective single center clinical study, for validating the accuracy of the SafeSed system measurements of minute ventilation, tidal volume, and respiratory rate compared to a spirometer.

Meir Medical Center

  • Pilot Study on post-surgical patients

A prospective single center clinical study, for validating prediction of breathing deterioration in patients in the PACU, by comparing SafeSed to pulse oximetry and clinical logs of PACU patients.
